Hey Y'all! I know it has been since for-ev-errrr that I've posted on this blog. Lately I've been wife-ing, mother-ing, daughter-ing, teaching, learning, thrifting, pinning and a few other "ing"s but no SEWing!
I must admit, I have been blogging about other things in other places (wink) but this component of my life, I have failed to make time for. So....I've decided to sew SMART so that I can get sewing back into my life. Even if it's only 15 minutes a day. Pray with me!
This is what I wore to church today. Vogue 1257. It's nice to see sewing enthusiasts getting along with this pattern after such a rocky start. The more I wear this dress, the more I see why it calls for a more stretchy knit. Because of my fabric choice, it's a bit stiff in places. It did however, keep me warm on this chilly yet sun-shiny Sunday.
Got this shearling vest at the thrift store for about $3.00. What is nice about it is that it's machine washable so I won't bear any expense to have it professionally cleaned. The scarf is from Ghana and was a gift. It is quite versatile. Here I just tied it until I got that knotted, braided effect then folded it under and viola! a much needed chest cover!
Well, that's all for now, got some homework to do. Until next time (which I hope is sooner than later) BE BLESSED!!
You look gorgeous! Love, love the hair, it's so pretty. Will be praying with you, missed reading your blog!

Yes, thank God we have Robins Air Force Base and I do have military decedent students. As long as they have lived in Georgia for one year they are eligible for the free program. If they are not legal state residents yet, there is an out of pocket cost. Thanks for your comment!
